Keep waiting for the world to change.

Connections are predestined. Not by some higher power who had everything planned before you were even born. But upon meeting someone, it is decided in the first instant whether a connection will occur or not. Some connections only last a few days or week but some last years, or what your forever is. Some connections are necessary so you are able to get to the next stage in your life. Some connections are unspoken and never go beyond eye contact. Some connections instigate a fire inside of you to pursue something you know is morally wrong. It's exciting. But once you peak, and usually you peak early, the sinking feeling in your chest returns. You feel vomit in the back of your throat but you haven't eaten in a week or so and the only thing filling your stomach is nail polish remover posing as sake with pineapple juice.

Checking your phone for the 50th time tonight, your screen only projects the current date and time, along with some stock wallpaper photo of a cityscape that can't quite be identified. If you were really connected wouldn't you be connecting? There is not interference with wires. Your phone has five bars. His might not, but you know they do.

What did you expect. You can't enter a relationship that's diseased from the start and expect things to get better.

Everyone dies.
